About Me

I am an Assistant  Professor of Translation in the Department of Translation at Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan. I earned my PhD in Translation Studies from the University of Western Australia, Australia. My academic and professional trajectory has been shaped by diverse international experiences, including teaching and research positions at the Applied Science Private University, the University of Western Australia, and Najran University. These engagements have enriched my perspective on translation studies and strengthened my commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding through both pedagogy and research.

My research agenda is situated at the intersection of theory and practice, with particular emphasis on translation theories, translation evaluation, comparative translation, and machine translation. I am especially interested in examining how evolving technologies can inform and transform translation practices, while maintaining rigorous theoretical grounding. Through my scholarly work, I seek to contribute to the advancement of translation studies by developing innovative, evidence-based approaches that address contemporary challenges and enhance the quality and effectiveness of translation in both academic and professional domains.
