Dr. Mohammed Shamekh Aloqlah received his B.S. degree in Communications Engineering from Yarmouk University, Jordan, in 2002. Between 2002 and 2004, he worked as a teaching assistant at Yarmouk University, where he was awarded a scholarship to pursue his graduate studies in the U.S. He received his M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Colorado State University in 2006. Between 2006 and 2010, Dr. Aloqlah was a Ph.D. candidate and research assistant at Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), where he received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in August 2010.

His research focuses on the modeling of mobile radio channels, cooperative communication, smart antennas and MIMO systems, body sensors for healthcare, and wireless sensor networks for energy efficiency. During the summer of 2013, Dr. Aloqlah served as a visiting assistant professor at CWRU. In September 2014, he was granted a scholarship through the Erasmus Mundus HERMES programme, coordinated by Aix-Marseille University (TETHYS), to join the Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Cyprus.

Dr. Aloqlah has been an associate professor in the Telecommunications Engineering Department at Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology, Yarmouk University, Jordan, since September 2015.
