About Me
Dania Bani Hani was born in Irbid, Jordan, in 1989. She received the bachelors and the masters degree in industrial engineering from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan in 2012 and 2014 respectively. She completed a masters and a Ph.D. degrees in industrial systems engineering from Auburn university, Auburn, Alabama, USA in 2019 and 2020, respectively. Throughout her enrollment in the PhD degree she earned a graduate certificate in occupational safety ergonomics from Auburn university, Auburn, Alabama, USA in 2017.
In 2020, she joined the Department of industrial Engineering, Yarmouk University, as an assistant professor. From September 2020-September2023, she served as the industrial engineering department head. In February 2023 she got promoted into an associated professor. From September 2024-Now she is serving as the vice dean of the Hijjawi faculty for engineering technology.  Her current research interests include modeling and optimization in manufacturing and service systems, reliability modeling, fatigue failure, occupational health and ergonomics, and safety. She has published several scientific papers in the aforementioned fields. Dr. Bani Hani is a Fellow of the Alpha Pi Mu honor society, USA, and Jordan engineering Association, Jordan. Dr. Bani Hani worked as a GTA at Jordan University of science and technology, Irbid, Jordan from 2012 to 2014. She held lecturing positions at the same institution as a part time lecturer in 2014. In 2015, she worked as a lab engineer at Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan and helped to set up and teach the labs. During her doctoral study, Dr. Bani Hani was the secretary of the HFES student chapter and worked as a GTA teaching and developing instructional plans for different courses. Dr. Bani Hani worked as a RA during research into motion capture systems. She was the recipient of the graduate school travel and research fellowship in 2019, Dr. Saeed Maghsoodloo teaching assistant fellowship in recognition of GTA and academic excellence in 2019, semifinalist for tiger cage competition at Auburn University (Raymond J. Harbert College of Business) in 2019.
