Abdullah M. Dagamseh is a Professor of English Literature and Criticism in the Department of English at Yarmouk University. He primarily teaches courses in contemporary global literature and culture, exploring how writers critique the conditions of modern life through their creative work. His courses emphasize active class discussion and frequent analytical journal entries, often culminating in a student-selected final research project or portfolio. This pedagogical approach is designed to motivate and engage students, encouraging them to become active participants in the production and questioning of knowledge, while fostering their development as independent thinkers and responsible citizens.

He completed his Ph.D. under the supervision of Professors David Downing, Susan Comfort, Bret Benjamin, and Mike Sell, specializing in contemporary world literature, Modern American Literature, critical theory, transnational cultural studies, and critical pedagogy.

Dr. Dagamseh formerly served as the Student Vice-President of the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi (IUP Chapter, USA).
