Emad A. Ayasreh is a Jordanian academic and Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics and International Studies at Yarmouk University, where he has served since September 2021. His scholarly expertise lies in International Relations, with research interests encompassing Foreign Policy, Global Public Diplomacy, Science Diplomacy, Humanitarian Diplomacy, Global Governance, and Global Catastrophic Risks. Dr. Ayasreh holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from Universiti Sains Malaysia (2016), with a dissertation focused on energy security in Jordan’s foreign policy from 2003 to 2014. He also earned an M.A. in Political Science from the University of Jordan (2011) and a B.A. in Political Science from Yarmouk University (2006).
At Yarmouk University, Dr. Ayasreh teaches a diverse array of courses, including Strategic Studies, Foreign Policy Theory, and Technology and International Relations. His contributions extend beyond academia through extensive publications, invited talks, and the design of strategic diplomatic exercises. Prior to his current role, he served as a faculty member and Director of the International Relations Group at the Royal Jordanian National Defense College (2018–2021), enhancing professional military education and fostering international academic partnerships.
