Dr. Salah Al Shorman is an Associate Professor of Accounting and Head of the Accounting Department at Yarmouk University, Jordan. With over 16 years of academic experience, Dr. Al Shorman specializes in financial accounting, corporate disclosure, corporate governance, and market-based accounting research. His teaching portfolio includes accounting principles, intermediate and advanced financial accounting, and financial reporting analysis at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
Dr. Al Shorman earned his PhD in Accounting from the University of South Australia in 2017. He also holds a BSc and MSc in Accounting (equivalent to First-Class Honors) from Yarmouk University, and has completed a higher education teaching qualification in Jordan.
Dr. Al Shorman has published in reputable journals such as Corporate Communications, Pacific Accounting Review, and the Journal of Sustainable Finance & Investment. His recent research explores the communicative role of corporate disclosures and CEO tone in financial communication. He is also actively involved in master’s thesis supervision and regularly contributes to national and international conferences.
