Dr. Ola Al-Ta’ani is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Yarmouk University, Jordan. She earned her Ph.D. (2015) and Master’s degree (2012) in Computer Engineering from Kansas State University, USA, and holds a Bachelor’s degree (2008) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Mu’tah University, Jordan.
As a researcher, Dr. Al-Ta’ani specializes in Quantum Computing, Image Processing, and Networks. Her work aims to advance computational techniques and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges.
As an educator, Dr. Al-Ta’ani teaches a wide range of courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including Data Structures and Algorithms, Introduction to Programming, Software Engineering, Numerical Methods for Engineers, Quantum Computing, and Modelling and Simulation. She is deeply committed to inspiring her students and fostering their curiosity in the field of computer engineering. Dr. Al-Ta’ani is also actively involved in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students, guiding them in their academic and research pursuits.
Beyond academia, Dr. Al-Ta’ani serves as an advisor for the IEEE Aerospace and Electronic Systems Society (AESS), where she champions STEM education and professional development. She actively organizes workshops, competitions, and training programs to equip students and professionals with cutting-edge skills and knowledge.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Al-Ta’ani enjoys staying engaged with the latest advancements in technology and contributing to her community through outreach initiatives. Her passion for education, research, and innovation continues to drive her mission to shape the future of computer engineering.
