Biography Prof. Khaled M. Gharaibeh received his B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering in 1995 and 1998 respectively, both from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Irbid, Jordan and his PhD in Electrical Engineering in 2004 from North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. From 1996 to 2000, he was a Senior Engineer at Jordan Telecom, Amman, Jordan. From 2000-2004, he was a PhD student and research assistant in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of North Carolina State University. From 2004 to 2005 he was a research associate post-doc in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of North Carolina State University. Since Jan. 2005 he has been with the Hijawi Faculty for Engineering Technology where he is curretnly Full Professor of Communications Engineering. From August 2008 to Sep. 2009, he was an assistant Dean of the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. From Sep. 2009 to Aug. 2012 he was head of the Telecommunications Engineering Department at the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. From Sep. 2017 to Aug. 2018 he was Dean of the the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology. From Jan 2019 to Jan 2023 he was with the Applied Science University-Bahrain where he worked as Vice President for Academic Affairs. During his career at Yarmouk University he served as a member of the Yarmouk University Council, 2005-2006, a member of the Hijawi Faculty Council, 2006-2007 and a member of the ABET accreditation committee. His research interests are nonlinear system identification, statistical modeling of nonlinear RF circuits for CDMA system applications, Image registration, wireless telemedicine, and wireless communications. He has published more than 40 research papers in international journals and conferences and one book chapter. He is a Senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (IEEE), Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTTS), Jordan Engineers Association and the honor society Eta Kappa Nu. Prof. Khaled Gharaibeh is the winner of the Hijawi prize for academic excellence in scientific research for the years 2006 and 2007.
