About Me

Dr. Anas Ababneh holds PhD in Nursing from the Queensland University of Technology (Brisbane-Australia) in 2021. Dr. Anas was awarded the Australian Government Research Training Program [RTP] Stipend which is for candidates with exceptional research capabilities. Dr. Anas also holds a Master of Science in Diabetic Foot Care in 2009 from the National Institute for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics (University of Jordan). In addition, he completed the International Interprofessional Wounds Care Course in 2009 from the University of Toronto (Canada). He also completed his BSc in Nursing in 2006 from Al al-Bayt University.

Dr. Anas worked as a specialised nurse (diabetic foot and wounds), clinical educator, and lecturer at the National Center for Diabetes, Endocrinology, and Genetics (Amman-Jordan) for 9 years (2007-2016). He also participated in teaching and research roles during his PhD at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia (2017-2021).

Dr. Ana's research interests are mainly related to chronic disease management and wound care among elderly people. More specifically, these interests include adopting self-care\management models, exploring adherence to treatments, implementing nursing educational interventions, and exploring the recent advancement in wearable technology.
