Prof. Amin A. Jarrah is an experienced professor with a demonstrated history of working in education and industry. He has extensive experience in Computer Engineering, Research Design, Lecturing, and Management. Prof. Jarrah received his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Engineering from Hashemite University and Jordan University of Science and Technology in 2007 and 2010, respectively, and his PhD in Computer Engineering in 2014 from The University of Toledo, USA. During 2014–2016, he was appointed as an Embedded Software Engineer in Magna Electronics and TATA Group companies, USA. In January 2016, he joined Yarmouk University as an Assistant Professor. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering at Yarmouk University, Irbid, Jordan. From 6/2018-12/2018 and 9/2023-9/2024, he was with the Hijjawi Faculty for Engineering Technology at Yarmouk University, where he served as Head of the Computer Engineering Department.
Prof. Amin Jarrah is a dedicated educator and researcher specializing in high-performance computing with a wide range of artificial intelligence and machine learning applications. His work spans multiple international research initiatives funded by agencies such as the EU, the Deanship of Scientific Research, and Graduate Studies at Yarmouk University. These projects focus on areas like refugee support and developing high-performance architectures for medical applications specifically for heart attack and brain tumor detection diseases. His research is in the areas of high-performance computing, FPGA & GPU systems, and system-on-chip (SoC).
