About Me

I'm Dr. Ahmad Mumani, an associate professor of industrial engineering at Yarmouk University. I joined Yarmouk University as an assistant professor in 2018 after completing my PhD in industrial engineering at Iowa State University of Science and Technology that same year. Since then, I have begun my teaching and research efforts. During this time, I taught the following courses: Lean Manufacturing, Instrumentation, Cost Accounting, Engineering Material Science, Applied Engineering Statistics, Engineering Project Management, Work Measurement and Analysis, Production Laboratory, Statistical Quality Control, Reliability and Maintainability, Research and Statistical Analysis, Simulation, and Decision Support Systems. Throughout my career, I have worked on and contributed to approximately 30 papers in disciplines such as process optimization, decision making, and 3-D printing. I have also supervised two master's students. I now have three master's students working on their theses.

I believe in constant improvement of the teaching process, which enables high-quality instruction. The content, instructional methods, and activities should be reviewed, evaluated, and updated on a regular basis to ensure that our graduates have good competencies. This improvement should be based on the student's performance and ratings, as well as market demands. Being motivated to improve the teaching process will influence the student's attitude toward the need to develop their skills and competences.
