Prof. Amjad D. Al-Nasser
Professor
Prof. Amjad D. Al-Nasser, Dean of the Faculty of Science at Yarmouk University, has been a faculty member since 2001. Throughout his tenure, he has held various administrative positions, including Head of the Department of Statistics, Assistant Dean for Quality Assurance, Vice Dean, and Vice Dean for Research and Graduate Studies. In 2010, he worked at Dubai University, and in February 2016, he joined Al Falah University in Dubai, UAE, where he served as Director of Quality Assurance and Institutional Effectiveness, later advancing to Vice President for Academic Affairs.
Prof. Al-Nasser earned his Ph.D. in Applied Statistics from the National University of Malaysia, one of the country's top five research universities. In 2015, it was ranked 312th globally by QS World University Rankings and 56th in the QS Top 500 Asian University Rankings.
His research interests include Generalized Maximum Entropy, Customer Satisfaction Index, Measurement Error Models, Data Envelopment Analysis, Ranked Set Sampling, and Acceptance Sampling Plans. His work has been published in reputable journals such as the Journal of Applied Statistics, Journal of Nonparametric Statistics, Communications in Statistics: Simulation and Computation, Journal of Statistical Computation and Simulation, Journal of Statistical Theory and Practice, and many others.
